My Story
I am a Veterinarian specializing in Clinical and Diagnostic Toxicology. In short, I treat animals that have been poisoned, and help you to prevent poisonings in your pets.
I graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and later received residency training in toxicology from the University of California at Davis. I then became certified as a specialist by the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology.
Currently I am a faculty member in a Health Sciences University in southern California. Previously I worked as a companion animal veterinary clinician, and as a specialist in poisoning information at the Oregon Poison Center, and at the California Poison Control System.
I live in Los Angeles with 2 dogs (Daisy & Duke, the "dogs of hazzard"), 2 cats (Mario & Figaro), and a sun conure (Papaya).
I'm more than a labcoat. I'm also a storyteller. You might have seen me telling stories at one of the events at
